The Alternative School for Creative Thinking announces the start of the period when people interested to consolidate their careers in communication industry can send their applications to take part at school’s 6th year of studies.

The Alternative School for Creative Thinking is the only educational platform that covers all communication’s disciplines, offering to its students access to international competitions and specializations at high-end events of the industry, such as Cannes Lions or Eurobest.

The selection of the students, along with the exigence and complexity of the program, positioned this platforms in the category of the ones with proven results: Order of Merit in 2008 and 2009 at Global Academic Challenge, Gold at Roger Hatchuel Academy during Cannes Lions 2009 and 2010, Bronz at Young Lions Print in 2009 and “Honorable merit” for Romanian Young Marketers team at Cannes 2010.

Out of the 120 young people who attended the school until now, a significant percentage are continuing their studies abroad. Others had spectacular professional evolution, occupying nowadays important positions in prestigious companies. School’s values and trainings were proven also in regional competitions: a former student received a Bronze at Golden Drum last year, while, this year, another former student won the Twitter slogan contest organized by Golden Drum.

The Alternative School for Creative Thinking announces the start of the period in which receives application from people with ages until 30 years old interested in visual craft, creative outdoor, design, creative media and creative PR, marketing, strategy and branding. The applications period is closing on October 10th. The people who want to attend the school can send their application to Roxana Balan (roxana.balan@canneslions.ro), Project Manager of the school.

The new study year of the school also includes some changes. One of the new things for 2010-2011 period is the launch of an academy for the remarkable students with ages of max 23 yo, also in Eurobest’s context. Romania already has a confirmed place in this academy and in teams’ competition. The best students in Eurobest semester will compete at Hamburg, facing the best and most talented European teams.

Also consistent changes are taking place in the dynamic of the classes and of speakers that will share their knowhow with the students.

This way, the Visual Craft class will be coordinated by specialists from Grey, Graffiti and Publicis, the Creative Media class will see  Corina Bernschutz, that took a Silver Lion at Cannes in 2007 with Starcom, sharing her knowhow in the field, while the Design class will benefit of the experience shared by people working for Acme, Work Dog or Blau. Also, there will be a number of valuable independent tutors that will share their knowledge to the students.

The Marketing class will benefit of the experience of people working in companies that grew vibrant brands, while the Creative PR class will be shared by 3 multi-awarded Romanian agencies and their leaders: Gabi Lungu – The Practice, Simona Dan – Rogalski-Grigoriu and Mircea Tomescu – Graffiti PR. The Creative Outdoor class will be coordinated by Alex Strimbeanu, the winner of Young Lions Print 2009.

As every year, 3 scholarships will be awarded to the best applications.
