(Adds information about the disqualification of Greenpeace campaign from Saatchi&Saatchi and the withdrawal of the Silver Drum for one of the executions)

Saatchi&Saatchi Romania, Publicis and Next Advertising were awarded Silver Drums in the TV/Press/Radio/Outdoor competition, during tha Gala Awards that took place Saturday night.

For Publicis Romania, the prize came for Radio, with “Text Kills 2″ for Bucharest’s City Police (the campaign also included print executions) . This entry was realized by a team including Bogdan Nestor – Art director, Razvan Soare – Copywriter&Project Manager, Razvan Capanescu – Creative Director.

Next Advertising got its Silver in Film competition, for “Meeting” for Bioflu (Biofarm). The team that realized the entry included Adrian Rosu – Art Director, Adrian Dragan – Copywriter, Liviu David – Creative Director, Sandor Tarko – Photographer/Illustrator. The spot was directed by David Popescu and produced by Reload Film.

Saatchi&Saatchi, that already took a Silver Drum the other day, got another Silver for its “Sport Commentator” for Novartis. The entry was realized by a team including Ionut Vlad – Art Director, Andreea Bagita – Copywriter, Jorg Riommi – Creative Director and Alexandra Ivan – Project Manager. Also, the producer was Monica Garbur, Chainsaw Europe insured postproduction, Mihai Codleanu was the editor, while Stefan Crisan and Andrei Ciubuc were in charge with the Sound Design. The Account Execeutive is Liana Petrascu.

The Greenpeace campaign was disqualified by organizers due to its similarity with a campaign ran by TBWA/Hunt/Lascaris, Johannesburg, South Africa, awarded at One Show 2010 and that received Silver for Outdoor at Cannes Lions 2010.

According to IqAds.ro, Jorg Riommi, Creative Director Centrade Saatchi&Saatchi, said that the agency will challenge the decision on disqualification because the campaign doesn’t copy the one made by TBWA, considering the 2 campaigns ran in the same time.Moreover, Saatchi’s campaign received a diploma – Press Lions National Diploma – at this year’s edition of Cannes Lions.

In the TV/ Press/ Radio / Outdoor competition, there were 7 entries from Romanian agencies.

At Golden Drum 2010, Webstyler also was awarded a Silver Drum.

At a fast count, Romanian agencies come back home with 5 Silver Drums.
