Weather news presented by homeless people, on Romanian Prima TV
“Weather” section at Focus, Prima TV’s main news journal, changed its hosts starting today, with the new presenters being homeless people. The initiative is part of “Days of Hope” campaign, through which Romanian Samusocial and Prima TV are trying to make public acknowledge the dangers homeless people are exposed to.
For 5 days, the 3 homeless people and others like them will tell Prima’s viewers how the weather will be and how to fit their clothes so they can be protected of the cold outside.
For an ordinary person, another minus degree means a thicker coat. For a homeless adult, another minus degree can mean the difference between life and death. For many of us, this border can seem exaggerated But it is a reality that us, the people from Samusocial, are confronting with every year. Just together, the community can transform this dramatic situation in isolated incidents

Executive Director Samusocial Romania
The campaign also includes a fundraising part, with the collected money to be used to cover homeless’ people needs, from medical assistance to issuing new official documents for them.
The campaign was initiated by Samusocial, is running by and on Prima TV and has support from Saatchi & Saatchi PR and Newcast, a division of Zenith Media Romania.
