How to finance a business idea at #ICEEfest?
ICEEfest 2015 focused not only on the actual trends of the digital economy and most successful companies of the present, but also on the future. That is why the entrepreneurs that want to launch a start up are invited to attend the Searching for The Next Big Thing session, to take place on festival’s scene dedicated to innovation.
During the session, the entrepreneurs and those who want to launch a start-up can see the presentations and find out the ideas of successful entrepreneurs and watch 200 Seconds of Fame, a contest during which start-ups ideas will be presented in just 3 minutes and 20 seconds in front of a qualified public and possible investors. The best ideas will be selected live, through public’s and jury’s vote.
During the session, the known entrepreneur and author of “Get Shit Done” Niall Harbison (PicStach) will each the people present how to develop a business with social media’s help and sell it for millions of dollars.
One of the most known and respected Romanian entrepreneurs Radu Georgescu, Founding Partner GECAD Group, will speak, during a live interview made by Dragos Stanca, ICEE’s founder, about how one can build a global company starting from CEE, while Andrei Pitiș, Founder & CTO Vector Watch, will present a concrete project that benefited of global media coverage, namely a smart watch made in Romania.
During 200 Seconds of Fame, the jury will consist of Radu Georgescu (GECAD), Marius Ghenea (3TS Capital Partners), Niall Harbison (PicStach), Laurentiu Ispir (Oresa Ventures), Marcin Wojcicki (AeRO/Bucharest Stock Exchange) and Orlando Nicoară (WeLoveDigital).
The selection of the start-ups is made in partnership with WeLoveDigital and those interested to present their ideas must send an email and a few slides to 200@welovedigital.ro, by the latest May 31st, and they will be announced by the jury if they were selected
