Romania’s entries at Eurobest 2010

Romania is present in this year’s Eurobest festival with 30 entries, while the competition registered a total of 4,339 entries from 37 countries in 13 categories, with an increase of 8% compared to 2009’s edition. Check entry summary by country Eurobest 2010.

Romanian agencies entered Film (5 entries), Interactive (2 entries), Integrated (2 entries), Print (5 entries), Outdoor (5 entries), Radio (3 entries), Direct (2), Design (1) and PR (5).

In the Film competition, Romanian agencies present are Propaganda Consult (3 entries), Saatchi&Saatchi and Publicis Romania, with a spot for Renault Fluence enlisted in the competition by Publicis Conseil Paris.

The Interactive competition attracted only  2 entries from Romania, one from OMD Bucharest for Dacia and one from Webstyler for Ursus.

OMD Bucharest and Webstyler were also the only 2 Romanian agencies to enter works for Rauch and, respectively, Ursus, in the Integrated competition from Eurobest.

The Print competition was, as every year, attractive for Romanian agencies, with Graffiti BBDO, Publicis Romania and DraftFCB entering 5 works for 3 clients: Wrigley’s, Nissan Romania and Travelart.
In Outdoor, 4 out of the 5 Romanian entries come from Publicis Bucharest – 2 for Bucharest City Police, one for Gusto and one for Orange Romania, while the 5th comes from Graffiti BBDO – for Pepsico.

In the Radio competition, the entered spots belong to Propaganda (Delmar) and Publicis (Bucharest City Police) and are the same that were just awarded at Epica.
The Direct competition attracted Brand Factory and Proximity Bucharest, the last with an entry already awarded this year at ADOR

Graffiti BBDO was the only Romanian agency entering a self promotional work in the Design competition.

When it’s about the PR competition, Eurobest attracted 5 entries from Romania, coming from McCann PR (FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour for Coca Cola), Webstyler (Bringing true football back for Ursus), Rogalski-Grigoriu (Money School for BCR), Lowe PR (The Humanitarian Labyrinth for ECHO).


At this year’s Eurobest, Mihai Gongu, Creative Director Graffiti BBDO Romania, was selected as Romania’s juror in the TV/Cinema, Print, Outdoor & Radio jury. The other two Romanian proposals for the jury were Adrian Botan – McCann and Liviu David – Next.

Romania also has a representative, Hortensia Nastase – Lowe PR, in the PR jury at Eurobest 2010. She was one of the Romanian proposals for the PR jury, along with Ioana Manoiu- GMP PR and Mircea Tomescu – Graffiti PR.

Also, Nicoleta Padure, Managing Director Media Concept Store and ex-Media Direction, is Romania’s representative in the Media Jury at Eurobest 2010, while Alex Badila – Managing Director Publicis and Costin Popescu, Creative leader CAP, were also on the shortlist for this position in Eurobest’s Media jury.

The 3rd Eurobest Festival incorporating the 23rd Eurobest Awards, Europe’s largest creative advertising & communications competition, takes place in Hamburg 6-8 December.

Launched in 1988, Eurobest is Europe’s leading annual awards competition for creative excellence in the categories of Film, Print, Outdoor, Radio, Interactive, Mobile, Media, Direct, Sales Promotion, Design, Craft, PR and Integrated advertising. The awards, which are judged by Europe’s top creatives, form part of a two-day Festival themed to identify and engage specific topics that are relevant to the European market. Launched in 2008, the Festival has been held in Stockholm and Amsterdam. Organised by the same team behind the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, the Dubai Lynx International Advertising Festival and Spikes Asia, the Eurobest Advertising Festival is a purely European event.
