Creativity, Marketing, Media, PR

Nicoleta Padure, Managing Director Media Concept Store and ex-Media Direction, is Romania’s representative in the Media Jury at Eurobest 2010, while Alex Badila – Managing Director Publicis and Costin Popescu, Creative leader CAP, were also on the shortlist for this position in Eurobest’s Media jury.

After PR and Film / Press/Outdoor&Radio, Media is the third category Romania is present with a juror at Eurobest.

Nicoleta Padure is Managing Director at Media Concept Store, she has over 10 years of experience in media and was selected in the Romanian Business Women Hall of Fame. She was shortlisted for entering the Media Jury before, for Dubai Lynx 2009, when she was the head of another agency. With a complex qualification, that recommends her both as strategist and project manager with taste for idea, Nicoleta launched, this autumn, Media Concept Store, a new company that assumes from the start the importance of ideas quality in the media projects.

“Romania waited on the side line for almost 20 years . In 2006, one year after opening a IAF bureau in Romania, we had the 1st juror at Eurobest – Alina Gavrila (Gavrila si asociatii). In 2008, we had a first, two jurors in two different sections: Razvan Capanescu (Film, print, outdoor) and Corina Bernschutz (media). 2010 is another key moment: Romania has three sections in which has jurors at the festival dedicated to European creativity. For the ones that read between the lines, is both an encouraging sign for the entire market and a trust vote for the way we harmonize locally the projects linked to Eurobest and Cannes”, Teodora Migdalovici, IAF representative in Romania, said.

At this year’s Eurobest, Mihai Gongu, Creative Director Graffiti BBDO Romania, was selected as Romania’s juror in the TV/Cinema, Print, Outdoor & Radio jury. The other two Romanian proposals for the jury were Adrian Botan – McCann and Liviu David – Next.

Romania also has a representative, Hortensia Nastase – Lowe PR, in the PR jury at Eurobest 2010. She was one of the Romanian proposals for the PR jury, along with Ioana Manoiu- GMP PR and Mircea Tomescu – Graffiti PR.

British platform belonging to Emap, IAF (International Advertising Festival) organizes four out of the most important events dedicated to idea’s culture: Eurobest (focused on Europe), Dubai Lynx (dedicated to the creativity in the Middle East), Spikes (centered on Asian communication imperatives) and Cannes Lions, the event that celebrates annually, in the last 57 years, the way the communication frontieres are redraw globally.

In the last 5 years, the Romanian IAF bureau managed to generate quite a few firsts for the Romanian communication industry: the 1st Romanian juror in Cannes in 56 years, a school that imposed models and grew young leaders with remarkable results in international competitions and a community interested by real performances.
