Former Romanian president: I was afraid blogosphere is suburban

Ion Iliescu, Romanian politician and former Romanian president, recognized, in front of the bloggers, that he was afraid blogosphere is “some sort of suburban neighborhood” but that now considers it “a new form of civil society manifestation”.

“I was reluctant in the start. I didn’t had quite the right perspective on what blogosphere is. I thought it is a sort of suburb. But my friends told me there are interesting discussions going on here”, Iliescu said.

He also mentioned that on his blog, newly launched, the articles posted represent his opinions and not his sentiments. He also stressed the fact that he is the author of all published articles.
