Romanian Businessman To Re-Launch Econ Daily Ziarul

Romanian businessman Vasile Turcu, the president of the Romanian Industry Owners Confederation, will launch, in September, the new Ziarul newspaper, with an economic format, according to Mediafax

In June, Turcu bought the publication from businessman Viorel Sima. The market segment targeted by Ziarul is 80% formed of businesspeople.

The daily Ziarul, which will represent the owners in Romania, the same as the monthly Business Club, will be edited under the Romanian Industry Owners Confederation flag. At first, the daily will be printed in 100,000 copies, but the number of copies will be increased depending on sales. In addition, Turcu said a distribution strategy is currently being developed.
