UK Government spend over half billion pounds on marketing and communication in the financial year 2009-2010
UK Government spent over half billion pounds on marketing and communication through Central Office of Information in the fiscal year 2009-2010.
Out of this amount, £19.5M went on PR (down from £23M the previous year), £22.8M on news (up from £17.8m).
The total amount was £8M smaller than in 2008-2009.
“COI’s 2009/10 annual report shows its overall spend, which includes other communications activities such as PR and events, was cut by £8m to £532m”, according to Brand Republic.
Also, in the mentioned period of time, COI increased the budgets invested in digital marketing, those reaching to £44M.
