Nonprofits can give lessons about social media to brands
According to an study realized in US and quoted by eMarketer, corporate marketers can take lessons about using social media from charities, that were ahead of both large and small businesses in adoption and awareness of social marketing since 2007, 97% of them using social media last year.
Among the social media platforms used by American charities in 2009 there are Facebook, Twitter, blogs, LinkedIn or MySpace.
On the other hand, according to Center for Marketing Research, 80% of American companies used social media marketing in 2009.
