Romanian politicians decide:Freelancers Must Pay Pension Insurance Contributions
Romanian politicians part of Parliament’s lower chamber adopted, on Wednesday adopted an amendment to the pension bill whereby people who gain income from freelance activities, other than salary income, must pay contributions to the public pension system, Mediafax news agency informs.
The amendment, been rejected by labor committee in Parliament’s lower chamber, was adopted by deputies with 118 to 76 votes and eight abstentions. The Romanian pension bill is to be adopted by the end of this month.
The measure will apply to people who gain income from copyright, contracts or conventions.
