TLC Channel will be launched in Romania in January

Discovery’s TLC will be launched in Romania on January 20, 2011, and the channel will be initially distributed both in analog and digital formats by telecom operator UPC Romania, Discovery Networks representatives told a news conference Tuesday, according to Romanian press.

TLC is owned by Discovery Communications and is one of the most appreciated women-oriented television networks in the United States. TLC is available in 29 countries in Europe, Asia and South America and in 2011 it will be launched on over 75 markets.

Discovery Networks is present in Romania with seven TV channels: Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Discovery World, Discovery Science, Discovery Travel&Living, Discovery HD Showcase and ID Investigation Discovery.
