Yahoo to develop 2 new products for Romania in 2011

Yahoo! intends to develop at least two new products on Romanian market by the end of the year, as Raluca Hotaran, Country Content Manager Yahoo! Romania, said today to Romanian press

We launched at the start of this month ro.yahoo.com, a «light» version of yahoo.com portal, similar to the ones launched in Poland, Turkey, Russia and Greece. For the moment, the portal includes content orientated on many areas of interest, including News, Finances, Lifestyle, Sport,  Tech (Gadgets), Meteo. Adding to those ones it is the new localized version of social webmail Yahoo! Mail Beta. We also kept, taking in consideration the preferences of the local user, other Yahoo! non-localized such as Messenger, Games and Groups. We intend that, by the end of the year, to develop at least 2 new local Yahoo! products

Country Content Manager Yahoo! Romania

Raluca Hotaran was appointed Country Content Manager Yahoo! Romania in January, after she occupied before different position in the local office of the American software producer Microsoft.

“In Romania there is an allocated resource – «Country Content Manager» – that manages Yahoo! Romania portal from content point of view and also local products. For the moment, there aren’t considered other opening for Yahoo in Romania”, Hotaran said, as quoted by Mediafax
