Businessman Elan Schwartzenberg took over Realitatea TV
Businessman Elan Schwartzenberg will take over Romanian TV station Realitatea TV owned by Sorin Ovidiu Vintu, under arrest on charges of blackmail.
Schwartzenberg, owner of Neocity Group, has an estimated fortune of EUR45-50 million, according to Top 300 Capital ranking.
Elan Schwartzenberg confirmed, on Saturday, the take over of 92% of Realitatea TV’s shares and said he will offer more information on this matter on Monday, in a press conference .
On the other hand, Sebastian Ghita said that Schwartzenberg cannot be Realitatea TV’s manager or be involved in TV station’s management. Ghita said that he, as representative of Asesoft, will continue to manage Realitatea, respecting the 5 year management contract signed by Asesoft and Realitatea Media in October 2010.
