John Rossiter, the new General Manager of AXN Channels in Central Europe

Sony Pictures named John Rossiter as the new General Manager of AXN Channels in Central Europe. He will coordinate the activity of the channels from Budapest and will report directly to Eddie Nelson, vice president EMEA for Sony Pictures Television.

Rossiter will supervise the continous development of SPT network in the region, a network that includes channels such as AXN, AXN SCI FI, AXN Crime and Animax. He will also be General Manager for SPT channels in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Macedonia.

Before, John Rossiter was senior vice president of Operations and Business Development for HBO in Central and Eastern Europe, being responsibloe for distribution and management of the network and development of new services.

AXN has over 16M subscribers only in Central Europe, where it is broadcasted in 6 countries: Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria, and in 5 countries from Adriatic see region (Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia and Montenegro).
