Clothes and electronics are the items most popular among Romanians that are shopping online, according a Daedalus Millward Brown study that also shows that the budget most buyers used for online acquisitions during 6 months varied between Euro 100-500.
Clothing and shoes, along with electronics, are prefered by Romanian internet users when it comes of online shopping, while the top for online transaction is payment for utilities, according to the study.
Daedalus Millward Brown ran the study between November 2011 – January 2012.
Over 48% of the people that made online buys in the last 6 months used for that a budget of Euro 100-500.
The study also shows that almost 82% of the acquisitions were made on Romanian websites, while the rest were made on foreign online shops.
The research, an initiative from 2Parale, Internet Corp and The Geeks (agency part of Leo Burnett Group Romania), aimed to identify the reasons why some Romanians are reticent to online buys and also tried to see which are the differences among the ones that shop online and the ones that didn’t try this method.

Based on study’s results, The Geeks and 2Parale will make and run, from March to July 2012, a campaign to support online commerce and to promote the advantages of this domain.
