Gemius unveiled today, at Digital Marketing Forum, the results of “Online Leading Brands 2012”, made together with Evensys. The study showed how the main national and international brands from 4 major industries (auto, banking-finance, personal care and telecom) are visible on Romanian online.
This year’s study showed that Dacia, Ursus and Borsec are on the first 3 places, representing the most popular and the most trusted Romanian brands. In the same time, in the top of the most present brands on the internet, the brands are Dacia, Borsec, eMag, BCR and Ursus.
Definitory for a brand’s online presence, according to the participants to the stydt, are data offered about products and services, brand’s online image and the communication with clients.
Leading Brands already become a tradition, we are at the 5th edition and this continuity allows us to see how users’ perception modified. In what concerns the results, this year I think we must underline that, on a general downwards trend of the indication regarding online presence, there is an increase for Personal Care / Cosmetics

For the 4 main analyzed industries, the rankings are as it follows:
- Banking – finance : ING, BCR and BRD
- Personal care: Avon, Oriflame and Gillete
- Telecom: Vodafone, Orange and Cosmote
- Auto: Mercedez Benz, BMW and Dacia
Online Leading Brands is the only study released publicly that evaluates brands’ online presence and that makes public results that are interesting both for marketeers and companies. The number of online campaigns is increasing, to offer notoriety to brands, and it is important to know how those are perceived from consumer’s point of view

My favourite part is the one that says it’s not that important anymore for consumers to know a product is well sold. The market is getting educated 🙂
