A Romanian actress and a musician joined “Good Coat” campaign
Romanian actress Carmen Tanase and the musician Cornel Ilie, front-man of Vunk, joined Casa Ioana’s project “The Good Coat” and encourage people to donate good clothes that they would wear themselves for a job interview or on the street.
The campaigns aims to make people more aware on Casa Ioana temporarily hosted peoples’ need of finding a job. The donations from the campaign help people in difficulty to trust in their own forces in hiring interviews and to involve in social and economical activities allowing them to have a normal life.
The 2 Romanian celebrities will support the organization during the campaign, through clothes donations and promoting campaign’s messages.
“Donate the good coat” is an initiative meant to help homeless people to find a work place and was launched by Liberty Center and Casa Ioana to underline the obvious need that homeless people have to get support in finding a permanent work place in order to have a decent life.
The initiative comes as the number of homeless continues to increase in Bucharest, with the latest estimations talking about around 5,000 of them.
Losing the workplace and financial difficulties represent the most often causes for people to get homeless.
During the program launched by Liberty Center and Casa Ioana, people are encouraged to donate good clothes that they would wear themselves for a job interview or on the street and to realize that they can help people with problems to trust in themselves and to involve in activities that would allow them to have a normal life
The initiative is active between April 18th and May 31st, with all people that want to help being encouraged to donate clothes in special places within Liberty Center.
