5 agencies awarded at Romanian IAB Mixx Awards 2012
The Geeks, McCann Erickson, iLeo, Carat and Kinecto are the winning agencies at the 1st edition of Romanian IAB Mixx Awards, awarded Thursday night in Bucharest, at Silver Church Club.
The most awards went to The Geeks, that took home 4 trophies: 2 for Groupama – The risk Test– client Groupama Asigurari (“Experimental & Innovative campaign” and “Best Digital MIXX”), 1 for Doncafe – Horoscope Over a Cup of Coffee – client: Strauss Romania – Doncafe (“Best Social Media App”) and 1 pentru Pilot Frixion – Back to school –client: Dacris/Pilot Frixion (“Rich Media Display”).
iLeo and McCann Erickson also got, Thursday night, 2 awards each. iLeo won in “Best Brand/ Product Launch” with “Unfiltered vs Fresh” campaign for Bergenbier and in “Mobile App” with “Rediscover Romania” for OMV Petrom.
McCann Erickson, working together with StandOut, got 2 prizes for “Romanians Are Smart” campaign for Rom, in “Cross Media Integration” and “Branded Content, blogging Campaigns & PR campaigns”.
The winners list is completed by Kinecto, winner in “Brand Awareness & Positioning” for “Tuborg Party Manager”, client Tuborg and media agency Carat, that got the accolades in “Direct Response & Lead Generation” with “Opel Antara – Drive in Romania” for Opel Romania & Nokia Romania.
In “Best Digital MIXX”, the best 3 campaigns of the year were Groupama – The risk Test – The geeks – for Groupama Asigurari, followed by “Romanians are smart” by BV McCann Erickson for ROM and ” Tuborg Party Manager” by Kinecto for “Tuborg”.
A special jury prize went to The Practice.
IAB Mixx Awards Romania received 65 valid entries for online campaigns, entered by 21 participant companies. There were 30 finalists, 3 for each category of the competition.
Among the 10 sections, the most disputed one was “Brand Awareness & Positioning” (15 entered campaigns), followed by “Experimental & innovative” (9 entries), “Cross-Media” (9), “Branded Content, Blogging & PR Campaigns” (8) and “Best Social Media App” (8 entries). The entered campaigns cover areas like FMCG, Telecom, Auto, Financial services, TV shows, movies and other cultural events, Tech & Gadgets, Industry, Drinks and Cosmetics.
