Dacia, Ford and Renault – most present in traditional media, BMW – 2nd in online
Dacia, Ford and Renault are the most present car brands in traditional media, while BMW entered in online ranking directly on the 2nd place, according to a Mediafax Monitoring study. In the 1st half of the year, auto market was present in Romanian media (TV, printed press and online) with 165,000 mentions of the Romanian and foreign car brands, with the most visible being Dacia, Ford, Renault, BMW and Mercedes.
Study, covering the period between January 1st – June 30th, monitored 44,000 sources (154 printed press titles, 1,080 websites, 26,457 blogs, 14 TV channels and 16,525 Twitter accounts) and 32 auto brands (Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Chevrolet, Citroen, Dacia, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Lamborghini, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Range Rover, Renault, Seat, Skoda, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen).
Although TVs have a significant impact, the less referrals – 3,462 – were on monitored TV channels, that occupy the last place in the top of mediums that mentioned auto brands market in news or shows.
The most mentioned on TV were at Digi 24 (577), followed by Realitatea TV (522) and Pro TV (422). A total of 1,922 mentions were on news channels, representing 55% of the total info monitored on TV. The most mentioned brands were Dacia (634), Ford (359), Renault (272) and Mercedes (192).
In printed press, most mentioned were Ford – 986, Renault – 968 and Dacia – 926, from a total of 12,500 mentions
In online, Dacia, BMW and Ford were most mentioned, and, on blogs, the top is BMW, Dacia şi Ford.
