“Romanians for a world” campaign, supported by Intesa Sanpaolo Bank
Initiated by Sergiu Celibidache Foundation, the CSR campaign is running at national level in Romania. The campaign is built around Romanian values that contributed to world’s culture: Mircea Eliade, Emil Cioran, Nicolae Grigorescu, George Enescu, Edward G. Robinson, Jean Negulesco and Sergiu Celibidache.
The campaign is supported online on the website www.romanipentruolume.ro and on a Facebook page bearing campaign’s name, gathering around it a 14,000 people strong community.
According to campaign’s website, the campaign targets Romania and promotes national values, encouraging the young generation to follow its dreams, no matter the cultural segment they are active in.
The campaign has 3 stages:
1. First stage started in December 2012 and lasted until March 2013, aimed to rediscover Romania’s values through indisputable contributions from Mircea Eliade, Emil Cioran, Nicolae Grigorescu, George Enescu, Edward G. Robinson, Jean Negulesco and Sergiu Celibidache.
2. Second part of the campaign – from March to June 2013 – will support contemporary cultural values, personalities with names that resonate loudly abroad, such as Marcel Iures, Alex Rotaru, Alexandra Nechita, Dorotheea Petre, Vladimir Cosma, Alexandru Tomescu, Ada Condeescu and others.
3. Last stage – from June to November 2013 – will involve an online national contest for tribute brought to Romanian culture or to a romanian personality. The winners, selected by a jury, will receive scholarships in Romania and abroad.
Intesa Sanpaolo Bank supports the project together with other partners, among which Romanian National Literature Museum, Nicolae Grigorescu Memorial Museum, National George Enescu Museum.
