Subway Romania, that celebrates 1 year since it entered local market on April 10th, joins “caffè sospeso” movement, initiated in Romania by getlokal.ro, going out website.
“Caffè sospeso” is a social movement of generous people that gains ground in Europe. Initiative’s mechanism is simple: one pays for a coffee he doesn’t drink, but let it in location’s care until a client that can consume it for free appears. The idea was launched in southern part of Italy and entered in local tradition as a generosity act that sees a lucky client sharing some of his luck with a stranger. The initiative was adopted afterwards in a number of countries, among which Canada, Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria.
The first year of Subway’s existence on Romanian market needed to be celebrates properly. And we don’t think there is a better way to celebrate than together with our clients, making them part in a movement of generous people that gains momentuum in Europe. This is the occasion we thank them for existing and encourage them to share joy and friendship to the ones around
