An app developed by Romanian TeamNet, in European Commission’s top 3 IT solutions for elderly people
MobileSage, a project developed by TeamNet within an international consortium, was selected among the 3 finalists of Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) Award 2013, European Commission’s program that awards the newest services and care systems dedicated to elderly people. The project is financed by European Union through AAL program and co-financed by Excutive Unit for Financing Superior Education, Research, Development and Innovation.
MobileSage consists in an IT solution that offers assistance in using new technologies during day to day activities. The app allows offering customized information, in a manner adapted to user’s profile and context.
TeamNet, the only IT specialist of the consortium, handled the development of Mobile Sage starting from analysis stage until testing and pilot phases. It also developed the mobile app Help on Demand and integrated it with the customization API.
The interest for such apps is higher and higher and that’s why we estimate that, in 3 years since project’s finalization, at least 20% of the elderly population in the countries involved in the project will use this solution

At the moment, the project is in the final stage of development, that aims to test the developed version on representative subjects groups (10-15 people) in Romania, Norway and Spain.
The consortium that developed the project consists of 7 companies from Romania, Norway, Spain and UK. The project will be finalized in 2014 and, afterwards, the app will be available to the general public. It will work on any smartphone model, no matter the OS
