“For you – a coin, for them – a future” program reached the last stage
“For you – a coin, for them – a future” program is in a direct line to the end, with those that want to support the cause of Mihai Nesu Foundation having just one more day to give the life saving coins. The machine that collects the coins thrown at the stadium, before football games, is available for just one more day, on November 26th, waiting for the supporters that attend Steaua Bucharest – Schalke 04 game.
Until now, the campaign helped collecting over 40,000 coins and an amount of RON 10,000.
Stefan Chiritescu, Head of Innovation BBDO Group Romania and one of campaign’s initiators, detailed the results obtained until now:
For you – a coin, for them – a future is the kind of campaign that reached all its objectives: cultivate a positive social habit by collecting the coins previously thrown on the ground, to transform a relevant context in a social campaign, to generate public discussion. We showed that changing mentalities is possible. There’s one more effort that must be made now and not later: bring the life saving coins to the stadium, in an as large as possible number. The over 40,000 coins saved from throwing, together with our partners from Unicredit Tiriac Bank, show that the appearance of a civic habit can be more tangible than the passive “it works like that also”.
Through this campaign, the coins thrown by supporters before entering Steaua’s games played on its own field in the actual season of UEFA Champions League (UCL) were collected and will be donated to Mihai Nesu Foundation, to be used for project dedicated to kids with disabilities.
The campaign was initiated by Graffiti Social Work (BBDO Group Romania’s foundation) and Kaleidoscope Proxmity and is supported by UniCredit Tiriac Bank, part of UniCredit Group, the official bank of UEFA Champions League.
