ADC unveils program for ADC’s 93rd Annual Awards of Art + Craft in Advertising and Design
ADC, the first global creative collective of its kind and longest standing organization championing the visual arts, just announced the program for the ADC Festival of Art + Craft in Advertising and Design, the annual three-day festival that will be headquartered at James Royal Palm Hotel in Miami Beach, on April 7-9.
During the festival, the winners of the ADC 93rd Annual Awards of Art + Craft in Advertising and Design will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze Cubes, one of the most coveted honors in the creative industry. For the first time ever, the 2014 ADC Festival will also celebrate the winners of ADC’s sister award show, the Tomorrow Awards.
The festival inspires international creative professionals to reconnect with their inner artist and recommit to the passion of their profession. The awards, similarly, takes that passion and recognizes the best of the best in each industry.
The ADC Festival is the best advertising and design festival in the world. We designed the entire festival experience around intense networking and on creating and experiencing art and true creativity from the most talented people that do not work in traditional advertising (…) We will only be selling 300 passes so we can give those attendees one of the greatest experiences of their lives.
Ignacio Oreamuno
Executive Director ADC
What makes the ADC Festival so different from others in the industry is that it stays true to ADC’s decades-long commitment to holding commercial art to the same standards as fine art. The festival promotes this commitment to craft with interactive workshops instead of seminars, where attendees will learn, play and be inspired in an environment designed for organic networking. The festival’s location will also feature an art exhibit titled “Out of Office” composed of personal art created by acclaimed international creative directors.
The workshop presenters act as teachers in their craft: an award winning architect will have the audience create “the agency of the future” from cardboard, an interactive artist will conduct social experiments and a Flash designer will have attendees create art from code.
