1400+ entries for the inaugural edition of Lions Health
Lions Health, new global annual awards and Festival honoring the best in creative healthcare communications, reistered this year, for the inaugural edition, 1423 entries from 49 countries.
Entries have been accepted into two sections: Pharma (divided into Pharma Communications to Healthcare Professionals and Pharma Communications to Non-Healthcare Professionals) and Health & Wellness (Health & Wellness Consumer Products and Health & Wellness Education and Services). Work has been submitted across seven different media channels which comprise of Broadcast, Print, Outdoor, Direct and Promo & Activation, PR, Digital and Mobile and Integrated.
The Pharma category received 517 entries from 35 countries and 906 pieces of work from 48 countries were submitted into the Health & Wellness category.
Two juries consisting of 25 industry professionals will next week convene in Cannes to vote on, debate and decide this year’s prestigious Lions Health winners. Kathy Delaney, Global Chief Creative Officer of Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness, will lead the Health & Wellness jury, whilst Jeremy Perrott, Global Chief Creative Officer of McCann Health will preside over the Pharma jury.
Commenting on the awards, Louise Benson, Festival Director of Lions Health, says, “We are thrilled by the volume and diversity of entries across all categories, for this, our launch year. It not only reflects the buoyancy and range of the sector but also the importance of highlighting creativity in such a regulated industry at a global scale; we await the announcement of the winners with baited breath”.
Delegates will be able to view exhibitions of the shortlisted work across the two-day Festival with the winners only being revealed at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday 14 June.
