Eugen Suman – back in Romania, takes over the creative reins at Kubis Interactive
Eugen Suman took over the creative reins at Kubis Interactive, as Creative Director, starting this month. Eugen works in advertising for over 8 years and, before joining Kubis, he accumulated a vast international experience working in agencies like McCann Praga, Young & Rubicam Praga, JANDL Bratislava. He also freelanced for BBH and TAG London.
Previous to starting his international career, Eugen worked as copywriter in Romanian agencies like Graffiti BBDO, Grey, Ex Aequo and Godmother.
His work was appreciated and awarded: he scooped in 2014 a Bronze at PIAF for Lego, Bronze at ADC* Global and shortlist in Cannes for Harley Davidson, Bronze and Silver at ADC* CZ Awards for Czech National Theater and GE Money Bank. Last year, he got 3 Golden Drums and a Silver Drum for Lego, Radionet and Bratislava Zoo, while 2012 meant, in terms of awards, a Silver at Epica Awards for Harley Davidson, shortlist in Cannes for Carturesti campaign, Silver Effie for “Save Lives Foundation’ and Gold Effie for “Don’t ignore me” campaign (in 2011).
Eugen also has in his portfolio different distinctions, with most valuable ones being a second place for the best creative director in
Slovakia (2013) and the 4th copywriter in the world according to Luerzer’s Archive (2012). Under his creative leadership, in 2013, JANDL became Agency of the Year in Slovakia and got recognized at Golden Drum as second best independent agency.
I always needed two things to perform: an agency with real ambitions and support from its management. At Kubis, I found both, reason I gave up gladly the expat life and a wonderful town, Prague, to come back to Bucharest. My plans are also Vlad’s plans. Together, we want to make Kubis not just the biggest digital agency in Romania, but also the most creative one. And not only in Romania, but in the entire region. Nobody expects that to happen overnight, but I am sure it will happen. I come with experience, energy and enthusiasm and I am convinced that Kubis people are the same.
