Vardo wines packaging, created by Vitrina Advertising for Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea, awarded
Romanian Vitrina Advertising added to its palmares two awards for the Vardo – Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea packaging, which received accolades to the prestigious competition Femmes et Vins du Monde 2015, organized in the Principality of Monaco: Nova Diamant for the „Flame of the Night” wine label, with the honor for “Innovation”, and Nova Pack Or for the „Drop of Life”.
The project Vardo for Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea started from the idea of a red wines collection inspired from gypsies’ joy of life. Vardo is the name of the covered wagon and, by extension, the metaphorical image of gypsies’ caravan and the fantastic microuniverse built around the four primordial elements which define a way of life: Fire, Water, Earth and Air. This is how „Flame of the Night”, „Drop of Life”, „Power of Will” and „Breath of Wind” were born. The graphic label speaks about the four elements through symbols taken from gypsies famous canvas and prints. For each one of these wines it was created a powerful, stylized symbol that takes to an instant asociation with the natural element that inspired it.
Vitrina Advertising’s team for Vardo was formed by Raluca Dragoș (Art Director), Teodora Olaru (Graphic Designer), Vlad Chichișan, Mircea Vlad and Adela Sabou (Copywriters) and coordinated by Camelia Imbuzan (Creative Director).
At the competition from Monaco, Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea gathered a total of 11 honors: Nova de Diamant for Touriga Nacional, Nova d’Argent for the wines Honor and Gratitude for the Minima Moralia collection, Sauvignon Blanc Prestige, Flame of the Night Vardo and Elite. At the “packaging” section, Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea received Nova de Diamant for the Honor Minima Moralia bottle, which obtained a special award for originality, with the honor “Coup de coeur de la President”, and with Gratitude Minima Moralia. The Roze Elite label was also honored with Nova Pack Or. Moreover, Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea received the special mention of the jury for the assembly packaging of wines presented in the competition.
Femmes et Vins du Monde is an annual competition that takes place in Principalty of Monaco and whose jury is exclusively feminine: international experts in eonology, viniculture, wines journalism and gastronomy, wine commerce. The competition has arrived to its ninth edition and it is organized according to the International Wineyard and Wine Organization rules.
