Mekanism, creatively involved in The North Face’s “I train for…” campaign
Mekanism was involved in creating several of the creative assets for “I train for” campaign, initiated by The North Face for its recently-launched Mountain Athletics line.
Mountain Athletics is all things training – apparel and footwear, expert training programs, tips and athlete videos – all rooted in The North Face unique outdoor heritage of setting goals, pushing personal limits and having more fun outside.
Centered around the theme “I Train For”, which is also campaign’s hashtag, this is the largest spring campaign ever for the company. Mekanism created several of the creative assets: for example, for the first time in brand history, there will be a national spring broadcast commercial that debuts April 15 and runs through the end of May on ABC, FX, ESPN, TNT, Spike, Comedy Central, AMC, TBS, USA and more. Additionally, the spot will be hosted on digital and social channels such as YouTube, Spotify, Facebook, Twitter, etc. The agency also created digital stills for banner ads.
The commercial features the following athletes (all of whom are The North Face brand ambassadors): Hal Koerner – Ultra Runner, Emily Harrington – Rock Climber, Ingrid Backstrom – Skier and Daniel Woods – Rock Climber
