#ICEEfest 2015 – the agenda & 9 more days to go
This year’s edition of ICEEfest 2015 will start in nine days and the organizers are prepared: they compressed, in 2 days, over 60 hours of presentations and gathered together, in total, over 80 exerts who will take festival’s stages.
As Dragos Stanca (founder of the festival) writes on his personal website, there are 5 stages (3 main ones – Innovation, Know-How and Experts + 2 VIP areas) where the speakers will perform, but also over 10 hours of fun and networking within The Viral Nights. IAB MIXX Awards will take place also during ICEEfest.
The event aims to cover, in a well structured and useful for decision making format, sectors like communication, media, marketing and technologies.
I believe the statement “digital economy changes everything”, part of the communication campaign, is pretty accurate: there isn’t anymore any area of business which isn’t impacted in a significant manner by the internet. And we don’t even speak about the lives of each and every one of us

A novelty at the festival this year is ICEEfest app, which allows those participating at the festival to set up their agenda and program their participation to events & seminaries, but also to network.
The agenda of the festival is structured on themes of interest: Content and journalism, Creativity, Performance marketing & e-commerce, mobile and apps & programmatic trading, start-ups and finance.
For the content & journalism part, ICEEfest’s stage will be taken by “heavy” names from The Huffington Post, The New York Times, Prisa Noticias (publisher of El Pais, AS etc), Le Figaro, VICE, Kurier. Also, the content area will be explored during Day 1 on the Experts Stage, with seminaries covering content, journalism and storytelling, while Day 2 will come with dedicated sessions for artists, vloggerilor and those generating content just “for glory”.
Creativity, amplification & awareness will be explored through seminaries held by professionals working for SXSW (Austin, USA). R/GA, Happiness, Hey Human!, Mind Scapes, Stink Digital and Candy Space.
Another theme of interest is performance marketing & eCommerce, as money dictate within the digital economy and, therefor, the sales and direct performance are important. This year, the area is much better delimitated and has a dedicated stage and a dedicated day (Friday, June 12th, KNOW-HOW Stage). Experts from uSwitch, House of Kaizen, AKM3 but also Facebook and Google. Related to eCommerce, Innovation Stage will host, during Day 2, a presentation made by Iulian Stanciu | eMAG.
As mobile is more and more important, ICEEfest has an extremely dense session on this subject during Day 1 (INNOVATION Stage, starting 16:15), with speakers from Uber, Shazam, Skype, Globo, Yodel Mobile, Yahoo, InMobi or UpStream, but also Facebook, Twitter and Google.
On Programmatic trading, theme to be covered on a dedicated stage and for an entire day (Thursday, June 11th, KNOW-HOW Stage), presentations will be held by Double Click (Google), Sizmek, Smart AdServer, Xaxis, Adara, DataXU, InMobi, TailWind (Project Agora), Braininet, Prometheus, PubMatic but also representatives from major communication groups (WPP, IPG etc).
Entrepreneurs and their ideas will have a dedicated part during festival, Startups and Financing, taking place on Friday, June 12th, starting 16:30, on Innovation Stage. Here, the participants will be looking for “The Next Big Thing“, while receiving help from AeRO / Bursa de Valori Bucuresti and personalities like
- Radu Georgescu – that will be present along with the newest project he is involved in, Vector Watch, developed together with Andrei Pitis
- Niall Harbison – the author of “Get Shit Done“ book, CEO PicStach and an exceptional speaker
- Joining them as part of the jury to evaluate live the projects from “200 Seconds of Fame” are other important names: Marius Ghenea – 3TS Capital Partners; Marcin Wojcicki – AeRO, Orlando Nicoara – WeLoveDigital; Laurentiu Ispir – Oresa Ventures and Odysseas Ntotsikas – Founder Think Digital Group.
The fun part of the festival happens during The Viral Nights of ICEEfest, a real show that produced together with CAT Music, and with support from KISS FM.
