Intesa Sanpaolo Bank supports youth development with Intercultura scholarships in Italy
Intesa Sanpaolo Bank continues, for the 9th year in a row, to invest in young Romanians’ development through Intercultura Scholarship for 2016-2017 school year. The scholarship is of Euro 8,000 and covers all the expenses, including accommodation and transport. The scholarship is up for grabs for students from any college in Romania which are now in the 9th or 10th grade, know English or Italian and are interested in personal development and knowing another European culture.
The participants to the scholarship program become part of the AFS Intercultura international community, which includes young people from all over the world who share the passion of exploring foreign cultures. They benefit of a complete intercultural experience, live for 10 months with an Italian family and attend the classes of an Italian highschool. The Intercultura scholarship holders are perfectly integrated in the social and educational environment in Italy, while the studies made during the scholarship are recognized academically in Romania.
Each year, Intesa Sanpaolo Group offers financial support consisting in scholarships for children in Italy but also from the 12 countries where the group has subsidiary banks. In Romania, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank invests in this educational project for 9 years. The extraordinary feedback received from the participants determined us to continue to offer this alternative, a real chance for improvement both at personal and at educational level, even since highschool, to all Romanian children
