Netopia mobilPay introduces online wallet payments in Romanian Carrefour network

Romanians who buy from Carrefour stores can pay for their products, at the cash registers, directly from smartphone, via mobilPay Wallet, digital wallet developed by Netopia mobilPay, leader on the local market of mobile payments. The service is already available in Carrefour stores all over Romania.

The mobilPay Wallet app is available for free download on all smart terminals running iOS and Android. After registering a card in the app, they can pay very fast for their Carrefour buys by scanning a QR code available at the cash register.

According to Netopia’s data, in 2015, the volume of online payments made via smartphone, via mobilPay Wallet, doubled compared to the previous year and went up 400% compared to 2014.

Launched in March 2013, mobilPay Wallet is available for smartphones, can be freely downloaded from Google Play and App Store and can be used to pay utilities, recharge prepay cards, pay in restaurants or for products and services provided by commercial partners.
