The Future Laboratory appoints Emma Booty as Head of Design
Futures consultancy, The Future Laboratory, announced Emma Booty has been appointed as its new Head of Design, starting with immediate effect.
Booty will be responsible for building and growing the consultancy’s reputation by continuing to produce award-winning creative work. She will lead a team that brings challenging and provocative thinking to life across diverse media; from print, to web, VR and highly-immersive live experiences.
Prior to joining The Future Laboratory, Booty was a Creative Director at design studio Construct where she balanced commercial nouse with user experience to navigate project complexities and hands-on design. Booty has also been the Creative Director at Saffron as well as Conran and Partners.
With over 19 years’ experience in the industry, Booty will bring with her a wealth of knowledge in a broad range of sectors, from high-end luxury to high street retail, professional services to music festivals, tech, airlines, academia and charities.

Emma has worked in Milan, Lyon, Paris and Tokyo and was a guest lecturer for the British Council across Europe. She is a regular contributor to the design media and will be judging the branding category in this year’s 2017 D&AD awards.
