Garanti Bank appoints Iuliu Muresan as Deputy General Manager
Garanti Bank, one of the most dynamic banks on the Romanian market, appoints Iuliu Muresan as Deputy General Manager, responsible with coordinating Risk Area activities: Risk Management, Internal Control, Compliance and Corporate Governance.
He will exercise his new responsibilities providing his role only after completing the authorization process with the National Bank of Romania (NBR).
With more than 17 years experience in the banking industry, Iuliu Muresan has strong knowledge in the area of risk management, previously having held the position of Chief Risk Officer and Executive Board member within Bank Leumi Romania.

The new Deputy General Manager of Garanti Bank is a graduate of the Economic Sciences within Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and has a Masters’ Degree in the same field, obtained within the same university. He has developed his career mainly in the areas of Risk and Control systems, Strategy and Financial management, holding various senior management positions.
