Romanians’ view on modern banking: a bank with services easy to use – iSense study
According to a study conducted by Romanian iSense Solutions, the Romanians perception over modern banks and their services has 3 main characteristics: easiness in usage (80%), fastness (70%) and security (73%).
Romanian consumers also wish from modern banks to be careful to their wallets. In consequence, banking services are evaluated as being modern if they don’t have commissions (69%), if they provide discounts and offers (59%) and also if they provide the option to save some money for each transaction (51%).
Moreover, Romanian consumers think a modern bank must be available to them at all times, offering services as 24/24 support (73%) and a big network of ATMs (59%).
When it comes of tech, it has the role to ease consumer’s interaction with the banking services, to fulfill his needs regarding fastness and accessibility. That is why clients want from a modern bank a mobile app (60%), the option to make contactless payments (59%) and to get online services(53%), while 47% want to have the option to self-change the security options for their card (activate / deactivate contactless, magnetic strip, changing the PIN, freeze the card and so on). Other benefits regarding technology are expected by consumers from a modern bank are the option of automated payments for utilities via direct debit (47%), option for online money exchange (43%), Self-banking (42%) or the option to save the payments made within the app (39%).
For some Romanians, the modern bank is the one offering customized services: 38% want to have access to statistics regarding money spent, for a better overview of their finances, 36% wish the option to have a personal banking counselor, 33% want a virtual support assistant. 32% consider important virtual cards tailored for online payments and 14% want to have the option to buy crypto-currencies.
