In Romania, Dorna and Save the Children ran a donations campaign to benefit babies born before term
For International Premature Day, Dorna and Save the Children announced they provided to 10 Romanian hospitals in Romania equipment needed to care premature born children. Donations, part of Care for Children – One Second Job campaign, totaled €100.000.
Since the campaign was launched until now, Dorna and Save the Children provided 86 specialized medical equipment for premature children to a number of 60 hospitals. The value of the donated medical equipment is close to €700.000 .
The challenge of “One second job”, part of the CSR campaign Care for Children (started back in 2013), started from the insight that, as for most one second doesn’t mean much, it can mean everything for premature babies. In the start of the campaign, Dorna asked people to take a one second job and offer a glimpse of their time to the babies born before term. Close to 600.000 got involved in the campaign.
The hospitals that got equipment following this year’s campaign are situated in Oradea, Braila, Bucharest, Calarasi, Medgidia, Sfantu Gheorghe, Petroșani, Satu Mare, Falticeni and Barlad.
