NYF’s Advertising Awards content initiative “Creativity From The Other Side with David Sable” announces new episodes
New York Festivals International Advertising Awards® will premier 4 new episodes of “Creativity From The Other Side” with David Sable.
Each of the 30-40-minute episodes feature interviews with creatives from all areas of art and business whose inspiration and ability to thrive creatively have fueled their success. In these personal one on one conversations, WPP Senior Advisor David Sable unearths how highly accomplished and remarkably creative people drive innovation within business.
Creativity From The Other Side was launched in early January by NYF’s Advertising Awards Executive Director Scott Rose.
“I was lucky enough to have a coffee meeting with David Sable and get to pick his brain on how to better align NYFA with the ever-changing world of advertising,” said Rose. “The fact that we’ve now been able to team up and produce videos where he uses his casual, but formidable interview skills to shine a light on the process and creativity of fellow legends and soon to be legends, is an honor.”
Upcoming Creativity From The Other Side episodes include interviews with the following innovators:
- Nathalie Brown – VP, Executive Creative Director, VMLY&R NY and 2020 NYF Executive Jury member oversees the Rolex, Office Depot and F-Factor business and this year launched a campaign for Bumble, a women first social networking app, during the Super Bowl featuring Serena Williams. She also served as creative lead on Cirque du Soleil, MTV Staying Alive Foundation, Hampton Inn and, recently, oversaw the launch of the Feminist Letters, a typeface created to amplify voices advocating gender equality.
- Keith Reinhard – Chairman Emeritus, DDB Worldwide gave birth to the Hamburglar and was responsible for McDonald’s “You Deserve a Break Today” and for the Big Mac tongue twister, “Two-all-beef-patties-special-sauce-lettuce-cheese-pickles-onions, on a sesame seed bun.” Mr. Reinhard penned State Farm’s long-running theme, “Just Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm Is There.” In 1999 Advertising Age named “You Deserve a Break Today” the best advertising jingle of the 20th century and one of the century’s top-five campaigns. Under Reinhard’s creative leadership, his agency produced award-winning work for Volkswagen, Anheuser-Busch, Frito-Lay, Dell Computer, JC Penney, Ameriquest and many others.
- Martin Puris – Chief Executive Officer, Puris & Partners is chairman and chief executive officer for Puris & Partners. His classic line for BMW, “The Ultimate Driving Machine” still defines the luxury car today, over thirty years later. Puris wrote “The Antidote for Civilization” for Club Med, a campaign that changed the look and feel of the whole travel category and the campaign for UPS, “We Run the Tightest Ship in the Shipping Business,” reinforced the brand’s commitment to efficiency. Puris in addition creating well-crafted, intelligent advertising for such clients as RCA, Schweppes, Nikon, Compaq, Burger King, Sony, Aetna, Reebok and served as media advisor to President George H. W. Bush in both Presidential Campaigns.
- Craig Elimeliah – Executive Director, Experience, VMLY&R NY leads teams across strategy, technology, creative and production, always pushing the boundaries of what a truly transformative experience is for brands and consumers. Craig serves as a senior leader driving VMLY&R’s Experience practice across all client alignment teams. Past and current clients include: Nestle, Pfizer, MOTO, Legoland, Ford, PepsiCo, DELL, Luminary, NBA, Disney, Humana, Clorox, Office Depot, CITIBANK, Hershey’s, Coke, New Balance, Sony Music and many more.
Previous episodes of Creativity From The Other Side feature, Nili Lotan, critically acclaimed and renown Israeli-born and New York-based ready-to-wear fashion designer; Steven Sacks, bitforms gallery Founder and Director; and Peter Yarrow, creative artist and musician—who performed with the legendary trio Peter, Paul & Mary and as well as a successful solo career.
