Young Marketers & TalentBet Perfect Combo: Winners announced after an intense semester

The Alternative School has been busy during the pandemic,  cooking up new learning & competition platforms for talents & strategists with a cause. #TalentBet, a pro-solution think & feel tank for businesses and creatives in time of crisis was launched, while continuing the 16 year long tradition of organizing the local competitions for Cannes Lions, this time for Young Marketers.

For everybody’s safety, the participants and speakers gathered over Zoom calls, conversations, lectures and workshops. The online study format, initially disregarded, proved to be a blessing in desguise, since it facilitated not only Bucharest centered, but national and international attendance (Cluj, Targu Mures, Brasov, London, Bath). The program brought together 15 teams, with digital meetings twice a week, working on 5 briefs. Provided by the companies sponsoring the school – BCR, Dulce Bun, Eurosalt, Carrefour – most of the briefs were driven by real challenges in time of crisis.

Snappucino (representing Sloop), ROND (representing Sloop and Mindspace)  and RootUp (representing independent strategists) were the top 3 teams for the Cannes Lions Young Marketers competition. The winners being unde 30 years old will represent Romania at the Cannes Lions Creativity Festival in 2021.

Imperative (Flavia Mocanu / Claudiu Sulea), MOVIN (Andreea-Carla Mureșan ) & Pocketful (Amina Panduru, Ioana Martinovici) were the #TalentBet first edition’s winners.

The participants worked every step of the way on creative & strategy trainings and intensive workshops, mentored by remarkable practitioners: Radu Pose, Dr. Ana Iorga – CEO&Neuroscientist, Buyer Brain, Alexandra Bombiță – Copywriter, GMP, Filip Gonzancenco – Art Director, Publicis Paris, Carmen Pungă – Industry Head, Google, Alex Dohotaru – Creative Partner, Creative VR, Andrei Chiriși – Art Director, Next/Three, Vera Gavrilă – Media Concept Store/Produsul Anului,  Silvia Grădinaru – Copywriter, Leo Burnett, Miruna Mihalache – Senior Brand Manager, Albalact, Isabella Brănișteanu – Thinkegic, Bogdana Gheorghe – Managing Director, Retail Zoom,  Teodora Migdalovici – Love&Lobby and The Alternative School founder.

The Alternative School offers an up-to-date portfolio, on provocative briefs, with solutions that are reached following the guidance offered by an elite band. They all proved their strengths, talent and impact in critical situations.
