Ana-Maria Paslaru, appointed Managing Director Unilever South Central Europe
Ana-Maria Paslaru takes over as Managing Director Unilever South Central Europe (Unilever SCE) starting March 1st 2021, after 3 years during which the was in Unilever’s leadership team for Eastern Europe, coordinating the business in Baltics and holding the EE Category Lead Home Care position. Ana-Maria Paslaru takes over the SCE position from James Simmons, who held it for the last 3 years.
Before coordinating Baltics, Ana-Maria Paslaru was Marketing Home & Personal Care USCE & CEE Home Care manager starting 2015. During this period, she coordinated national impactful campaigns for Dove, Dero, Clear, Rexona, Omo, Cif, Domestos, Savo and leaded the activity for the home care product categories in Central and Eastern Europe.

I am happy to get back home and dedicate to the Unilever team in South Central Europe, the team I started at Unilever and where I find again people and projects that are amongst the dearest to me.
It is not easy to follow James, who leaves an important heritage in South Central Europe, incredible business results and an extremely strong team. The main objective i am setting in the new role is to be close to the team on the road towards sustainable development, bringing forward the heritage of a strong company, who developed along the time with integrity, passion and pride, with the purpose of making positive changes within society.
Ana-Maria Paslaru started her career with Unilever in 2007, as management trainee, and held several positions within marketing and customer marketing departments of the company.
Starting March 1st, she will lead Unilever South Central Europe business, region that reunites Unilever teams in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro and Moldova. She takes over from James Simmons, who continues to work with the company, in a new role, close to Unilever’s executive leadership team.
