Cyber security Smarttech247 to expand services, plans to hire 60

Smarttech247, global cyber security company, expands its team of experts in Romania and will reach from 40 to 100 people by the end of 2021. Since inaugurating Security Operation Centre Bucharest, Smarttech247 expanded its cybernetic security services to private and public Romanian institutions.

It is estimated the cyber security industry will grow until 2023, until cca 170BN dollars. The accelerated adoption of the digital techs and the increased dependence of cloud services are changing radically the picture of cyber threats. To answer those, Smarttech247 invested permanently both in the human resource and in the research – development infrastructure and has a large range of new services and techs to be launched in 2021. Those elements will be the engine of the global expansion plan and of increasing the clients database.

According to a special report issued last year by the Romanian Information Service, the cyber threats intensified globally and in Romania last year. Key domains for managing COVID crisis were affected, such are health, public administration or education. The need of a cyber security strategy, at local and international level, also involves the development of partnerships public-private-academic in order to research and develop cyber security solutions using top tech and to shape, motivate and maintain the human resource in the cyber ecosystem.

An important problem cyber security industry is facing is the more and more acute crisis of competencies and qualified personnel. To solve this challenge, we established from the start partnerships and collaborations with top universities in Ireland, Romania and Poland, actively contributing to preparing the nest generation of graduates of informatics and attracting it in training and internship programs. Also, starting from the obvious fact that there are more men then women in cyber security services, Smarttech247 capitalized this important pool of valuable talents and founded, in 2020, an academy dedicated exclusively to prepare women through „Women în Cyber Security” program.
