Romanian pizza chain sells Pizza Hope to gather funds for Ukrainian refugees
Romanian pizza chain Jerry’s Pizza joined the efforts to directly support the Ukrainian refugees and launched the humanitarian campaign “Together we deliver Hope”, which aims delivering food products to the associations and places where refugees from Ukraine are helped or hosted.
Jerry’s Pizza introduces in its menu a special product – Pizza Hope – that costs Euro 3 and can be ordered and paid either with own order or separately. With each Pizza Hope ordered, the chain doubles the donation by adding another pizza or another extra product.
All donated products will be accumulated in a “pizza bank” from which Jerry’s Pizza will make deliveries to the locations pointed by partner associations and NGOs.
Gabriela Dauteuil – Marketing Manager Jerry’s Pizza
„We are in a special context where any effort and initiative matters a lot and can contribute with a gram of hope. Now maybe more then ever, we united our forces and we are trying to spread hope to support people that had to leave Ukraine in order to save their lives and had to leave everything behind. The idea of the campaign started from the messages received from the market, from our clients and suppliers. Besides the donations we already made, we were many times contacted by clients that wanted to buy pizza for the refugees. Starting from these requests, we realized that, through our operational infrastructure, we can help. We wish to help all those who joined us in this initiative, suppliers, associations, NGOs and clients who ordered Pizza Hope”
Through the campaign, the amount of needed products is identified, the pizza chain perpares them and delivers them where they are needed. The campaign will run until the end of May but can be prolonged afterwards, depending on the number of donations.
The suppliers that partner with Jerry’s Pizza campaign are GoodMills, Romcarton, Indlacto Mureș, Parmafood, Agricola, Unilever, Caroli, Gavo Fruits, Selgros. Among the associations and NGOs which are providing centralized info on locations hosting refugees and needed quantities of food are Romanian Red Cross, HORA and Aluziva Association.
