Ogilvy Paris appoints Benjamin Bregeault as ECD
Ogilvy Paris appointed Benjamin Bregeault as its Executive Creative Director, that will see him oversee all the agency’s Advertising activities, as well as PR&Influence. He will be responsible for pursuing and accelerating the agency’s creative momentum in France and internationally, as well as identifying and supporting new multidisciplinary talent in a constantly evolving market. He will also continue to play an active role in the agency’s development, having already helped win several new clients including Doctolib, Gamm Vert, Mobalpa, Radio France and Côte d’Or. And all this while demonstrating a certain creative and strategic rigor, as witnessed by the Doctolib, ISNI and TinderXRadio France campaigns, all recognized by the industry.
“Benjamin’s involvement and impact on the agency since his arrival naturally led us to entrust him with these new duties. He’s an experienced, passionate, demanding and personable Creative Director. But above all, his background gives him an excellent understanding of advertisers’ current challenges, and he knows how to meet them with a wide range of creative solutions”, says Matthieu Elkaim, President and Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy Paris.
Benjamin began his creative career at Ogilvy Paris on national and international accounts such as Fanta, Sprite, Scrabble, Free and Perrier. After 9 years, he left the agency, then voted best European agency, to join Buzzman on the MTV Mobile and SFR accounts. In 2012, he joined 180 Amsterdam to take charge of PlayStation and Asics for Europe. In 2013, he co-founded the French office of the Blast Radius network (WPP), a pioneering agency on social networks. He won Converse France, as well as several Danone and Bel brands. The agency then merged with the Wunderman network, where he became Executive Creative Director. There, he played an active part in the agency’s transformation into a full service agency, helping it to win a number of key competitions and some thirty significant awards in the space of 3 years, including the agency’s first Cannes Lions and D&AD.
In 2018, Benjamin joined BETC to manage several accounts, including FDJ, and was behind the new Loto brand platform. Since 2022 he has returned to Ogilvy Paris to bring his experience to the dynamic initiated by Matthieu Elkaim, the agency’s President and CCO. Over the course of his career, Benjamin has won all the major awards in France and abroad: Cannes Lions, D&AD, the Eurobest Grand Prix, the Grand Prix Cristal, the Grand Prix Epica and numerous golds at the New York Festivals, Andy Awards, One Show or Clio Awards.
