LIA 2024 – open for entries, 25% discounted fees until June 7th
LIA 2024 early bird entrants will receive a 25% discount off standard entry fees. This offer will expire on 7th June 2024. To take advantage of the 25% discount, all entries must be finalized and paid by 7th June. Any invoice that is not paid by 7th June or that requires any edits, i.e. media uploads, credits or any other changes after 7th June will be re-invoiced at the full fee. Standard fees will apply from 8th June until the entry system closes. LIA never charges late fees or upload fees.
“The entry discount is our way of offering more opportunities for talent around the world to get recognition. We are always keen to support greater representation from around the globe. A show becomes more robust when the juries get to see work that is culturally different, but pertinent to its intended audience. Perspectives are then widened and there is a deeper appreciation of creativity. Winning a LIA Statue is great way to turbocharge your career,” said Barbara Levy, President of LIA.
This year, LIA has added two new competitions – Creative Strategy and Direct.
Creative Strategy recognizes the digging, investigation, creative problem solving and discovery that leads into and inspires the creative idea. Strategy drives the discovery process, searching for fresh insight and creative instigation. Strategy works through all forms of data and hypotheses drawing from culture, category, human, brand and contextual fodder to unlock the creative opportunity. This award will recognize that having a strong understanding of the culture, category, consumer and brand can lead to a creative idea that can lead to significant impact.
Direct as a medium has been around for a long time. In fact, David Ogilvy sold AGA cookers door-to-door before he opened his agency. Direct Response was his first love. Granted, it has evolved, but it is still a great measure of the success of a campaign in terms of generating results.
“As the landscape evolves, one thing that remains constant is the need for powerful creative thinking. Judging at LIA ensures that the juries see all the work entered in their Categories. There is no pre-judging, meaning a rigorous judging process that ensures the best work, is the awarded work,” stated Terry Savage, LIA Chairperson.
Judging in Las Vegas commences on 29th September and will be completed on 7th October 2024. All rounds of judging take place onsite at the Encore @ Wynn Hotel. Every juror is required to see every piece of work in their respective categories. These panels decide on the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Statue Winners, as well as the Finalists. Each panel, at their discretion, also decides on whether a Grand LIA will be awarded.
As there is no off-site pre-judging, all judges are fully involved from the beginning to the end, so everyone is privy to the final results before they are published.
