McDonald’s has HugBins in Romania
Premier Restaurants Romania, which operates McDonald’s restaurants in the country, launched a new eco and sustainability initiative in order to educate and encourage clients to recicle the used packaging.
HugBins is a pilot project and includes, in its first phase, unique thrash bins, with an emotional design, specially created to selectively collect thrash. The new HugBins are placed in McDonald’s restaurants in Bucharest and other Romanian cities.
The pilot program comes with series of thrash bins hugging each other. Each of them is dedicated to collect a certain type of thrash, such are plactic and metal, paper and carrdboard and domestic thrash.
Elena Goți, Communications Director, Premier Restaurants România:
„Protecting environment is not just a responsibility, but also an opportunity for all of us to contribute to a change for good. By encouraging selective thrash colleting with this new communication project – HugBins – we wish to get a step closer to a better future, which motivates us to find innovative solutions and initiatives with positive impact, which aim to reduce the quantity of packaging used in our restaurants”.
