GMP Academy launches classes to shape a new generation of Romanian communication professionals

Romanian communication agency GMP&U launched the educational division GMP Academy, targeting those wanting to deepen their knowledge in communication. GMP Academy mission is to offer more then just an educational experience and aims to become a place of inspiration for communication industry in Romania, a space for experience and idea sharing and for authentic discussions on challenges and opportunities industry professionals are facing.

Communication is one of the most beautiful professions in the world. Each day is different, we are surrounded by creative people, beautiful brands and, through the campaigns we are working on, we get to be part of their stories. GMP Academy started from our extraordinary passion for this profession and from the desire to pass it to the new generation. We wished to create a place where students and professionals can meet, grow up and fall in love with the world of communication. Me and my team assumed this mission: to raise a new generation of communicators who want to make history and create epic campaigns.

GMP Academy will offer 3 types of courses:

  • Sprint – with a 3 month duration, targeting beginners or medium level experienced professionals. Those will include weekly sessions held by GMP&U seniors and experts. The students will learn about PR mechanisms, brand strategy, client service, reputation management, crisis management, corporate communication, creativity, events management, social media etc
  • Master classes – targeting professionals aiming to get to the next level in communication. They will find out about latest trends and best practices from experts in different areas of communication: from crisis management to brand strategy, employer branding or social media. The courses will be short, focused, with sessions from minimum 3 hours to maximum 2 days
  • Open – courses structured in one day and targeting different industries. The first classes will cover communication for schools and kindergardens, and communication in Horeca, Tourism, clinics and hospitals.

Teaching at GMP Academy is based on interaction, exchange of ideas and practical application of knowledge. The project aims to create a community of professionals with passion for communication, via networking opportunities, events and employment perspectives.

I believe all that are joining now the communication industry need authentic mentorship. But, many times, companies cannot offer that because of their overwhelming volume of work.
