Cristiana Belodan returns to the world of advertising agencies as Managing Director MullenLowe Romania
MullenLowe Romania announces the appointment of Cristiana Belodan to the agency’s top management, in a move that reinforces its reputation as a strategic partner to clients. Cristiana joins the group’s leadership team and will work together with Sever Savanciuc, CEO Lowe Group, and Hortensia Năstase, Vice-President Creative Services.
One of the local industry’s most respected marcom specialists, Cristiana has almost 20 years of experience in communications, 6 of which were spent in top management positions. Her expertise covers both the consulting and management spheres and is acquired in local and international agencies, as well as in NGOs and entrepreneurial firms.
“I have a growing belief that in today’s challenging economic, social and even political environment, good communication plays a vital role in boosting the financial performance of companies, regardless of industry. By bringing Cristiana alongside us in the agency’s management team, we will be even more prepared to deliver transformative communication solutions, thus maximizing the impact we generate in our clients’ businesses,” said Sever Savanciuc, CEO Lowe Group.
Throughout her career, Cristiana has coordinated award-winning teams in the most important local and international festivals, contributing to the strategic development of brands in sectors such as telecom, FMCG, financial services, energy, automotive or pharma. An active specialist in industry forums, Cristiana has continuously invested in training and recognizing talent and performance, being invited as a juror or speaker at reputed festivals and events. A multi-talented specialist, Cristiana is the initiator of the project “Cultura la Înălțime”, which combines her passion for theater with cultural events and hiking, and in 2021 she published her memoir “Dilibau”.
“If I had to pick one key thing I have missed over the past six years of consulting, I would put the team first. I am by definition a people person and an architect with an active builder mindset in my professional approach. These, but also the belief that success is a team sport, were the main arguments that Sever & Hortensia inspired me to return to the agency world. In my vision, it is very important HOW we work to achieve performance, so I joined the MullenLowe Romania team to bring the empathy indicator to the highest level in everything we do and to open a new chapter of success for the agency’s business”, said Cristiana Belodan, Managing Director MullenLowe Romania.
Cristiana’s mandate at the helm of MullenLowe Romania starts on February 1st and aims to strengthen the agency’s business by expanding the client portfolio, developing the team, attracting the best talent, and continuing to position the agency as a market shaper and innovator by launching new products and platforms relevant to clients.
“We’re thrilled that MullenLowe Romania is the team that convinced Cristiana to return to the agency world and would be even happier to see more seniors of this caliber returning to the industry. The MullenLowe team is recognized for entrepreneurial passion and a dynamic, challenger spirit; Cristiana comes with a winner’s mentality and a strong ambition to evolve this building to the next chapter. We welcome her and we know that genuine leadership and perseverance are the strongest ingredients to success”, added Hortensia Năstase, Vice President Creative Services, Lowe Group.
MullenLowe Romania, which celebrates its 32nd anniversary this year, adopts a working model based on integration and a strategic perspective on communication, strongly anchored in data. Recently, with the support of Path and iSense Solutions, the agency launched the Mpathy IndexTM, a unique proprietary tool that maps the relationship between empathy and brand performance, analyzing the Romanian consumer’s perception of brands, to which they attribute different levels of empathy. The top brands considered most empathetic by Romanians are Gerovital, Nivea, Napolact, Kinder and Heineken. Also in 2024, the agency accelerated the development of the Events & Experiential division, experiencing significant growth in this pillar through large-scale projects carried out locally and nationally for clients in industries such as retail, FMCG, agribusiness, financial-banking or medical.
