After November’s shortlisting, Proximity Bucharest – awarded at John Caples International Awards

Romanian direct communication agency Proximity Bucharest (part of BBDO Group Romania) is one of the winners at John Caples International Awards, with “Tune in” project, Silver Winner in “Agency Self Promotion” category of the competition.

We are very happy for this award, especially because ‘Tune In’ is a project reflecting integrally Proximity’s philosophy. Winning the most important prize for a Romanian agency at  John Caples International Awards is only consolidating the trust we have in our own forces. The next step is to surpass this performance, so we wait anxiously the next edition of the festival

“Tune In” aimed to  consolidate Proximity’s position on the local market as CRM specialist and to generate new business for the agency.  The implemented idea consisted in creating a radio station for just one listener. The targeted subjects received a box with a vintage radio player interface and an On /Off button. Following the call to action – “In case of business emergency, tune in!” – by pushing the Start button, the subject was also starting a radio transmitter that was announcing the agency that person interacted with its direct mailing and was starting an audio clip. The person was listening a message from the general manager of the agency and, shortly after, was receiving a call on his personal phone in which the same voice was thanking for tuning in on Proximity frequency and was establishing a meeting to make an agency presentation.

The award won by Proximity at John Caples International Awards confirms once more agency’s status as a road opener. With 10 years of experience on the market, Proximity constantly made itself noticed with the prizes it got to the most important international festivals. For BBDO Romania, such standards are of absolute importance
