New appointments at Ursus Breweries

Ursus Breweries announces the appointment of Simon Fearnhead as the new Vice President Finance, IT, Legal and Procurement. Until now, the department was led by Krzysztof Andrzejewski, appointed in February 2012 as Vice President Sales and Distribution for Ursus Breweries. Simon joined Ursus Breweries team after he has been Financial Controller for SABMiller’s Procurement Business Unit in Switzerland, since January 2010.

I am confident that Simon’s experience, gained within the Group and in several other multinational companies, as well as his leadership style will allow him to build on the success of Krzysztof and his team in strengthening the finance function and improving business performance

In the same time, I am happy to announce a promotion at the Group’s level. Camelia Panait, Strategic Planning Director Ursus Breweries was appointed as the new Marketing Director of Pivovary Topvar breweries, our Group’s operation in Slovakia

Starting middle of April 2012, Camelia Panait was appointed as Marketing Director of Pivovary Topvar breweries Slovakia. Camelia has joined SABMiller in 2008 as a Marketing Manager for Ursus Breweries after completing her MBA studies in Spain. She has successfully managed a number of brand initiatives for Timisoreana, which resulted in substantial brand share and growth. Since 2010 Camelia was holding the role of Strategic Planning Director in Ursus Breweries Romania.

Ursus Breweries, a subsidiary of SABMiller PLC, is one of the largest brewers in Romania. Ursus Breweries’ brands are: Ursus, Timisoreana, Ciucas, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Grolsch, Pilsner Urquell, Azuga, Redd’s and Stejar.
