Apple, Microsoft and Coca-Cola – the most valuable brands in the world
Apple, Microsoft and Coca-Cola are the three most valuable brands in the world, according to a new study made by Forbes magazine in partnership with JeffreyParkhurst, managing director of business strategy at Mindshare. The study covered 100 market leaders in different sectors, all present in United States and that are having a truly global reach, as WARC.com announces.
Apple came up the 1st, being credited for developing pioneering products such as the iPod, iPhone and iPad and building strong bonds with consumers. Second in top is Microsoft, followed by Coca-Cola.
IBM assumed the forth place, being appreciated both for the money made but also for its focus on innovation, as it registered the most patents in US for 17 years in a row.
Google closes the top five. The company recorded an increase of 450% on this measure since 2005, when Forbes valued the search provider’s brand at $8.7bn.
The top also includes McDonald’s, General Electric, Marlboro, Intel and Nokia.
