Mediafax Journalist Indira Crasnea Elected Romanian Press Club President
The Romanian Press Club’s general assembly elected Thursday Indira Crasnea as president of the institution for a two-year mandate.
Crasnea, deputy editor-in-chief at Mediafax news agency, competed for the position against Adrian Voinea, general manager of SC Media Sud Management SA, the publishing house of Romanian daily Curierul National.
Crasnea has been the interim president of the Romanian Press Club since 2008. She started her career in journalism in 1992, writing for Viitorul Romanesc and then for daily Ora. Crasnea has been working for Mediafax news agency since 1994, where she started out as a reporter and was appointed deputy editor-in-chief in 2006.
